How we make money
SmartRegistryAI earns money mainly from Plus subscriptions. Some retailer links may be affiliate links: if a source we use requires them and you buy after clicking, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Links that earn a commission are labeled near the result.
Commissions never affect matching. Whether something is a verified exact match, and the order results appear in, are decided by the same rules for every retailer, whether or not a link earns us anything. We don't use Amazon affiliate links.
Where results come from
Search results come only from approved sources: retailer product APIs, affiliate-network product catalogs, and direct retailer partners whose terms allow this use.
- Each result names its source and shows when that source reported the price.
- Shipping and availability are shown only when the source provides them.
- Sources can be out of date. The retailer's price at checkout is the one that applies.
- We don't watch prices over time, keep price histories, or send price-drop alerts.
Reading the Amazon pages you give us
When you paste an Amazon product link, a share link, or a public Amazon registry or wish list link, we read that public page to fill in the item's details for you: its name, brand, model number, UPC when shown, size or color, price and picture. We read only the pages you give us, a few at a time, and we never sign in to Amazon, see private lists, or ask for your store or registry login. Details taken from Amazon are labeled "from Amazon" so you can check them. Amazon isn't a search source and isn't affiliated with us.
How we decide it's the same item
- Verified exact match: the same UPC/GTIN barcode, or the same manufacturer model or part number with the same variant (size, color, capacity, configuration, quantity).
- Needs review: strong evidence but one key variant detail is missing. Hidden unless you choose to see these.
- Not shown: anything that only looks similar by name. Different colors, sizes, bundle counts, generations, model years, sellers or conditions are not treated as the same item.
Every result explains which identifiers and details matched. If nothing can be verified, we say so and show no alternatives.
Use of AI
Matching, prices and savings are calculated by fixed rules, not by AI. If we add optional AI features later (for example, helping you describe an item), they'll be labeled, and they won't decide whether two products are the same.
Independence
SmartRegistryAI is operated by Boyach LLC. We're not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Amazon, Target, Walmart, Babylist or any other retailer or registry unless we say so. Product names, images and trademarks belong to their owners.
